A late November cut will help move more iMacs as people realize that $29.99/mo for 67 months is too long. $999 would put it closer to 4-5 years, which is the typical purchase cycle for consumers anyway.

Yup, they way I saw it the odd 67 month period for the loan would become a more reasonable 60 if the price went down by about $200, which are both reasonable figures (60 months, $200 dollar reduction in price).

By the way, the article from ZD retracting the slow down on sales from iMac also suggests that soon we'll see printers and scanners bundled with the iMac, which is but one way to reduce prices.
