HI ALL,
I've become a bit of a bear and sold some covered calls for Dec, dont think DELL will make it back above this mid 60's range until early Feb. Its a way to protect one's shares from a margin call.

Nevertheless, here is a great bit from IBD dated Monday Nov 16, 1998

Dell sees Market Share doubling to above 20%
Chief Executive Michael Dell said the PC maker has an opportunity to boost the 9% market shares worldwide "into the 20's" within five years. "The industry is still in tremendous growth" said Dell in a CNBC interview. "You're starting to see the signs of consolidation, with DELL clearly leading the pack."In the third quarter, DELL was No3 in unit shipments worldwide, right behind No. 2 IBM but well below Compaq.
Happy Saturday,

OTOT
(Bear story for Chief Crazy horse)
Last week a group of noisy ravenous bears rushed out of the forest and broke down the doors of the Dell Palace pantry despite the the best efforts of the King's guard to beat them off.
After plundering the neat shelves and gorging themselves on the precious preserves, pots of honey, and kegs of wine for two whole days, they retreated to the forest at nightfall to sleep off the binge.
Bugles are now sounding to assemble and arm the Elite Dell guard which will relentlessly hunt them down and recover whatever useable, uncontaminated food that may be left.
The word is passed down the line, "Take no prisoners"
