You're talking about earnings/share?

In 3Q97, shares out = 32,800,000
In 3Q98, shares out = 40,333,000

3Q net loss before one-time charge = $16,275,000

eps = -16,275,000 / 40,333,000 = -0.4035 $/share

Had there not been dilution since 3Q97,
eps = -16,275,000 / 32,800,000 = -0.4962 $/share

Is there more to it than this?
