Hi Clint,

At this point, I don't care if the Fed would cut rate or not. Last rate cut came in a time of hopeless. Most stocks were washed out and values were everywhere. But now if you looked at those internet ipos last week, you know top is near. We have heard tons of good news lately. What else could propel the market higher short term? If we get a rate cut this week, I don't think we'll get much upside movement like last one. Market needs take a breath here to climb higher later, especially for tech stocks. I studied quite a few charts yesterday and found out that most of them show vertical uptrends without much cosolidation. I really don't like this kind of chart which only bodes well for the same pattern of downside risk.
The following link echos out what I have in mind. cbs.marketwatch.com

Easy money has been made. I am raising cash level gradually. I might be missing out some upsides next week. But I don't care. Last internet feverish in July got me out of the maket safely and this time I saw the same warning sign. As intc, the husband and I plan to exercise some options next Jan. Right now momentum is still with it.

Iris
