Morning John. The following link is the best I have ever read on gold and central banks during the roaring 20's and the Great Depression. For someone like myself, who is trying to learn the workings of gold over a long time period, it's a must. The article is 45 pages long, so I suggest you print it off and sit back. Well worth a bookmark..................

RE: Sen. Horn/Y2K article U posted: Why N t'name of all that's holy doesn't he:
A) address the far more sweeping/(far more sinister?) series of PDD's Clinton has initiated...
B) address the unprecedented power assignment to FEMA that will be implemented when the dreaded "panic" as defined SOLELY by Clinton sets upon us all?

I hate half a loaf senatorial soundoffs...
But then, again, I guess
most of our senators are a half a loaf off shy of a full oven in the 1st place.

Wonder how many of them are "selectively storing" gold?

Dare any of them actually put some non-confiscatable language into private gold ownership laws that are still on the books??? hmmmm

I spoke to the Y2k contact person for our local burb of Denver, who stated the water & sewer and ready to go and has been tested, as are traffic lights, he said all is well, as long as the power works. He ,also , has gotten no assurances of service from Public Service of Colorado, or the parent company NCE. There is also a possible problem with the school zone lights, but as school will be out, that is a small worry, and repairs / testing are scheduled.
