Donald,

I must ask you a Chinese cooking question. We just finished
eating at one of our favorite Chinese restaurants, and while
eating I realized you might help me.

We love Chinese food, both at home at when we eat out, so we
have lots of cookbooks, but none of them tell us how to make
Sizzling Rice Soup. How is the rice prepared before adding
to the soup?

My kids are big fans of Sizzling Rice Soup, and we all like it,
but we have never figured out how the rice is prepared. My best
guess would be stir fry in oil at high temperature, but we have
never experimented at home. (We are big on stir fry at home.)

You will be a hero to my kids if you can tell me. They would
just love to have it at home, as we also enjoy soups a lot.

Can you offer any suggestions?

Thanks,

Ed Miller
