How no news becomes news. MacCamant likes Xoma, among many other stocks. His views are carried in a Chicago Tribune article. A mention of this same article ends up on the CBS news site. Who know where else this non event will appear. Someday I hope real news gets an even wider distribution.

Biotech stocks worth a look?

CHICAGO -- More breakthrough products, a speedier Food and Drug Administration
approval process, dramatic recent stock price gains and a trend toward consolidation. These
factors are improving the image of the biotechnology stock, long considered a pariah by a
stock market that tends in uncertain times to value dependability and solid earnings over
hopes, dreams and red ink. Stock pickers have mentioned such companies as Agouron
(AGPH), Chiron (CHIR), Isis (ISIP), Imclone Systems (IMCL), AxyS (AXPH), Xoma
(XOMA), Amgen (AMGN), Biogen (BGEN) and others as worth some exploration. (Chicago
Tribune)

Not Xoma related:

- A bus station is where a bus stops. A train station is where a train stops. On my desk I have a work station...???
- If Fed Ex and UPS were to merge, would they call it Fed UP?
- I believe five out of four people have trouble with fractions.
- Do Lipton employees take coffee breaks?
- What hair color do they put on the driver's licenses of bald men?
- I was thinking that women should put pictures of missing husbands on beer cans.
- I was thinking about how people seem to read the Bible a whole lot more as they get older then it dawned on me ... they were cramming for their finals.

Appears to be normal consolidation going on, price fell back on ever decreasing volume. A bull rule is buy on 50% retraction. We are almost there.
