Bruce, Can you be a trader and draw from SS and IRA accounts? Or is there a ruling that you must produce more than 50% of your income from trading?
I'm not sure what you are asking me. Please give more details.

To be "a trader" for IRS purposes a taxpayer needs to derive most of his income from such activity (Liang v. Comr.) Maybe this is what you were looking for?
