If buying leap calls bring you good luck then that's a different story. Just don't see any advantage of buying calls on low priced stocks especially if it's too far out of the money and have to pay a premium that's more than half the current price.

You can probably get more if you actually own the stock, don't you think?

Is this not what a "stop loss market\limit order" is for, to limit our risk exposure? Don't mean to be critical. Anyway, I'll stop right here and good luck to your strategy.
