Interesting but not plausible. CPQ has plenty of capacity to hit the anticipated volume and then some without building up any inventory.

Wily and All: Went to Best Buy today and they are out of Compaq computers except for one model. That was all but one model which they were about to sell out of - I think it was the low end one. I had mixed feelings about it. One that the demand was good and two that Compaq was unable to meet the demand. The salesman were telling the people right upfront that they had none.
