I'm trying to understand why AMZN sells for 200 times estimated earnings for year
2000.....it seems like the competitive picture/internet retail "landscape" would be difficult
to predict that far out to justify that high a multiple...

John,

Please correct me if I am wrong, but I believe AMZN is projected to lose money in the year 2000.

Glenn

JO - Re: " I would appreciate any comments pro or con AMZN...I'm about even trading this one so far...a small loss. "

You still have 300 Amazon short at $122 don't you?

Now down $26/share - in addition to the $12 5/8 lost on the other 200 shares !

Have you reduced your $100,000 portfolio to $25,000 already?

Paul
