Well I gotta come clean, it wasn't C4 we used in the river, it was a gel derivative of it. A .22 wouldn't set them off so they were pretty safe. Crimp and seal an under water fuse to a 1/4 stick cap and stick it in a package. Put 3 packages together and wrap them with det cord, run out twenty feet and another three packages and wrap that det cord around them, keep stringing them three more times, yell "fire in the hole" light the fuse and get the hell out of there. A log jamb would go 50 feet into the air before coming apart.

True C4 we squeezed out and shaped. As you know you never blast steel as that makes it harder, you shape the charges to cut it.
