Hi Chinmoy ..

I reviewed all FLNK posts today. I noticed that you often let people know when a press release is on the way. Can I safely assume that your policy carries over to this board? Should your silence concern me?

I obviously have some insight as to when some PRs for Jaws should be coming. However, I have been burnt in the past re: Jaws PRs, so I'm choosing to take a more "show me" attitude. Don't get me wrong - I have no doubt that the PRs will come, but I refuse to speculate as to when they will come.

With FLNK, they haven't disappointed me yet. So far, when I've been told that there will be a PR in a given week, it has happened.

1. Why are they bothering with the on-line stores?

A.Given the lack of advertising and people's general lack of interest in on-line purchasing, JAWZ probably won't sell more than a few (as in less than 10) copies
on any of these sites.

B. There must be an up-front charge (in addition to the percentage charge per copy
sold) to get the software on the site . . . seems like a complete waste of money.

I agree that On-Line sales is not where Jaws will generate any significant short term revenue. However, I think that they should have an On-Line presence as part of their overall long term marketing strategy. And actually, there is no up front charge - just the percentage charge per copy.

2. Are they finding that there is no money in corporate America's wallets for anything extra (given the massive expenditures on Y2K)?

That I don't know, but I don't think so. IMO, companies are as concerned with computer security as they are with Y2K.
