There's been a lot of talk here and on the Yahoo board about a perceived lack of support from ACTV's partners like General Instrument and Liberty Media. I've just finished a careful review of both the General Instrument and Liberty Media Web sites and am glad to report good news. ACTV is included as one of GI's "Partners in Technology" with a direct link to the ACTV Web site. In addition, if you search for "actv" on the GI site you'll find a few releases that include ACTV, including the one announcing the partnership. More importantly, check out the "Conversation with Ed Breen" and you'll see direct mention of ACTV. I also have a brochure from GI entitled "Digital Network Systems: Ushering in a New Era of Interactive Digital Television" in which ACTV is one of only two services visually seen (they show a graphic from a Texas Rangers game enhanced by ACTV right next to the picture of the GI digital box, "ACTV" is clear to the reader). The Liberty site only has press releases, but the ACTV investment and joint venture release are easy to access. In addition, don't forget the powerful quotes from David Jensen of Liberty, like "We think this (ACTV) is a...winning entry in the sweepstakes for customer-friendly digital programming." Based on my review, and the clear support on the Web sites and in other promotional literature, ACTV is a major part of both of their plans....
