Jim -
In retrospect, however, I think expectations for DELL were excessive.

That's really at the heart of my concern. Perfection against an ever-increasing bar is a hard standard to achieve, even for Dell.

The FUD is I think partly the realization that Dell is not the underdog any more, they are in many respects the Top Dog. That paints a target on MSD's back that was not there before.

Of course that hasn't hurt Mr. Softee any.

jim / rudedog or whoever,
If anybody finds a forum where tax saving strategies are discussed please post it here. I am in the same position many are in, where I own a whole bunch of a few top performing stocks, and if execution ever turns south on any of them Im gonna get hosed in taxes... totally drenched you know.

Lack of diversification is great on the upside but ruthless on the downside, as peoplesoft or sybase management is well aware.
