>..Prudential's chief technical analyst, Ralph Acampora, wrote in a
strategy alert last week that he thinks the stock market rally will
continue. Acampora's bearish remarks last summer preceded the
steepest part of the market's fall.

He had said the market was too optimistic, and indeed, the rally
collapsed. By August, Acampora was saying the market could drop to
as low as 7400. The Dow bottomed at an intraday low of 7467 on Oct.
8.

But by October, Acampora was back making bullish comments, saying the 21% drop in stock prices created ''more-sober investors and tempered the buy-everything mentality.''

Last week, Acampora said the Fed appeared ''very accommodating, and we believe you can't fight the Fed.''

''There was a lot of damage done to the market between July and
October, and the current rally has not corrected all of it,'' he wrote. ''We believe investor focus should remain on individual stocks and groups rather than the broad market.''

Among the groups he recommends are biotech, health care, telecom and drugs..<
