Don, the NIMH patent in Japan actually begins in 1983 from the application date and runs 20 years to 2003. It would seem since we can only collect royalties back to the publication date of 1992 that the patent should expire 20 years from then or 2012, but I guess that's Japanese patent laws. The good news is ECD did recieve a patent in Japan on phase change in May of 1998, I don't know the patent yet but I will by the end of the day (for Retiarius). Fred maybe you can tell us the reason for not announcing this potentially important patent.
