Thanks XCR. Good source. I have a hard copy of TA from A to Z in front of me, and it does contradict the info provided by IQC.

I realize that there is no one magic way to calculate or interpret this.

But the TA from A to Z calculation just doesn't seem to make sense, unless they can't articulate exactly how to do it, which is entirely possible.

Sorry to bother you and the denizens of the thread with such trifling matter,but could you clarify this description:

Using the standard formula for a raw %K, you average the highest high and lowest low over the specified number of days (3, in my case)

However, if the close is either above or below the 3 day average high or low, you would seeming get negative values or values higher than 100. This leads me to believe that you simply calculate the raw %K and perform a 3 day SMA on it...
