Warped punditry,I tellya.

Peter:

'Mohan - in continuing my search to see what happened with Dell's earnings, I came across the following tidbit: "Dell is expected to smash expectations, not meet them." Therefore the disappointment..

As an investor Dell did not disappoint me, can't speak for the pundits,come to think of it I couldn't care less what they think,really.

I think shares outstanding is around a billion and change,still got enough in the 'treasury' for another split.

According to WSRN, 1,273,511,000 shares at present. Split adjusted, the peak was 1,495,152,000 in 1996. Institutional ownership accounts for about 48% of the shares.
