Incidently, thanks for all the kind words from people on this thread. Believe me, nobody is happier than me to see the stock moving up.

I have heard comments that the VPC will sell for the $6000 - $7000 range. Correct me if I am wrong, but during the last conference call I heard them mention a low-end figure of $3500. I expect that's the cheapest configuration, and maybe the point-of-entry for guys like myself that might just want a really souped-up home computer. After all, that's what I paid for the one I'm using now!

I believe the waiting is finally over, and SGI's stock will start to move. New products and new markets will spark new interest, and it looks like SGI is still ahead of the technological curve, from what has been indirectly leaked. I figure the announcement that the VPC is shipping will push the stock up another couple of points, and some good product reviews may be good for a bit more.

A much more crucial measure of SGI's potential success will be in their marketing. This has always been SGI's weak suit.

That's where the members of this thread can really make a contribution. I would appreciate people posting their opinion of any promotional stuff they see.

If SGI steps up to the plate with some first-class marketing tactics then I will the only questions remaining will be how well their market model will lead to big profits -- which are the keystone of SGI's turnaround. Quite a few steps left to go! I'm happy to be at $13 now. I can see $15 soon.
