Jon,

Re: "Some brokerages offer Instinet access to their clients. I know several individuals who trade on Instinet."

With my new found "knowledge" may I suggest that the above statement is covered by Online Investor in the following statement made as further explanation of after hours trading:

...We are aware of a firm that is advertising that it will actually execute your trade while the market is closed, but there has been only one broker offering it, and our guess is that the prices are way off the close of the market since it's the broker that is acting as a market maker and has its own capital at risk..."

The "article" is dated 1/98 so I would imagine there could be more than one firm doing this today.

Bill

Jon,

Now I have a question for you. I just ran across the following site that allows one to "turn off" all ads (see upper right hand corner):

actors.castnet.net

I have never seen that before. Is this something new? Common? Just curious.

Bill

There used to be a firm that advertised on CNBC about after hours trading(no longer have cable tv). I believe if you signed up for this service that you were limited to 1 extra hour of trading. Does anyone know how long after hour trading lasts for the institutions?
