Wow...here's something from Business News America:

Dayton Jan-Sept Losses Reach US$6.89mn - Chile

November 16, 1998

Vancouver-based Dayton Mining Corp. posted a net loss of US$6.89mn
(US$0.235 per share loss) during the first nine months of 1998, compared
to a US$570,000 profit (US$0.0325 per share loss) over the same period
in 1997. Dayton operates the Andacollo Gold mine in Chile's Region IV.

The mine's cash-operating costs were US$256 per ounce over the first
nine months in 1998, compared to US$224 per ounce over the same period
last year. Realized prices were US$345/oz and US$397/oz over the same
periods, respectively.

The mine produced 25,077 ounces in the third quarter of 1998 at US$226
per ounce, the highest quarterly production since the mine began
production in January 1996. High production rates continued with
September's monthly record of 9,356 ounces being beaten by October's
9,484 ounces.

United States-based Medinah Energy is suing Dayton for more than
US$150mn in a dispute over ownership, mining rights and alleged
unauthorized removal of mining tailings from Andacollo.
