Richard;

I am hoping you still check out AFFX and can answer a probing question.

GLGC has recently announced a patent on their new "flow through" chip and I have been trying to understand the "probe" business that goes with it. On the Yahoo GLGC thread I have asked Steve Push a few times about chips, but he seems to walk around my questions. The flow through chip he claims is no competition for the AFFX chip - could that be so. What really interest me though is if the probes are the same for both types of chips? It seems like there might be real money in providing the probes. Is there patents covering the probes themselves which might give some advantages in this market? ENZ?

As always I look forward to hearing any answer youare able to find the time for. Thanks!

Steve
