Terry - I don't know if this counts as being a contrarian - but the situation now reminds me of September 1987 when I was thumbing through a Canadian chart publication called 'Graphascope' and looked at chart after chart after chart with upward slopes of 45 degrees - including incidentally the golds - and then thinking, after the crash - why didn't you either sell or go short - instead of getting creamed? The upward momentum in many charts is clearly unsustainable - and yet we are dazzled by internal dynamics,the pronouncement of various gurus. In short, most people want to believe - hence negative savings. E
