Ausdauer,
You appear to be very informed in SNDK's technology and products. Are you a SNDK bull or bear?

Ausdauer, the 134KB example was a test image that is typical for snapshots and does not equal the resolution of film. I continue to feel that most people would be thrilled with 0.5MB JPEG images. But since so many other SI posters wanted "film-equivalent" resolution, I settled on 1.5MB as a working number for compressed files.

As to form factor, I suggest that you examine SNDK's web site for details. A CF card weighs 11 grams plus a slot that weighs far more. An in-camera microdrive weighs 20g ... period.

I didn't listen to the conference call. I read the SEC filings instead and became rather depressed.

I do agree with you on memory for phones, printers, etc. CF should continue to sell well in these markets. My point is that IBM's microdrive will impact sales of big, high-margin CF cards.
