It seems like DISK is in a difficult position with respect to its internet presence. It would be great if DISK could launch a major web project to sell its products directly to customers and send its stock into the 20's. But this would mean competing against all the retailers and other intermediaries who buy inventory from DISK, and possibly hurt the established "old fashioned" distribution channels. On their web site, DISK offers links to mail order retailers who sell DISK products over the web. They also provide addresses to US stores that sell DISK products. Is as close as DISK will ever get to e-commerce?

DISK update:

Good move in DISK today on 3x average volume and a very down market day. Bought some more just before close. Secondary offering should be close to closed by now and I'm hoping we hear some news soon. If they get a good price DISK can get some cash for their warchest as well as www.kencranes.com.

There was some very interesting rumor on the Yahoo! thread ... take it with a grain of salt if you want:

"Back in late 1997 to early 1998 I was one of the few people that followed DISK on this message board.Yes, go back and check me out. I was telling everyone to accumulate shares of DISK in the $3 to$4 range and we all made plenty of money in April. Now I would ADvise all who followed my lead to start doing it again. You have a seven to ten day window to buy the stock before the secondary is priced. It is 3x oversubscribed. And once the issue is priced, the information that everyone is waiting for, the agreement that has been reached with Amazon will finally be announced. In fact sources tell me that Amazon started selling Image merchandise 3 weeks ago and are fulfilling orders at the rate of $50,000 per day. And who do you think is supplying Navarre with product and you can see the kind of move NAVR has had the last two days. Best to get in early before the BIG move IN DISK comes. Good Luck to all who remember me. "
