I don't think anyone would do a hostile bid for Loral. It all goes through Schwartz. He has too much control for anyone to do a hostile bid. Thus, any "deal" would have to have his blessing. The fact that Targoff resigned last year is a tip off that he probably did not see a future there at Loral. Schwartz runs the show, and when he is done, ??? He can't stay 73 forever! I would think he would want G* up and running and the GEO lineup solidified before even considering any deal. That means 2000 sometime. At that point, they will be needing to really raise cash for C*/Skybridge.
