K6-2-400:

compaq.com

Check out this slick system. Got it over Yahoo thread. Look like this will be a 3DNow Christmas.

Jim:

<< Are you surprised?
Don't tell me you doubted the 400 like Yousef and Elmer...>>

As they would have put it, it must be

a) phantom chips
b) remarked 366MHz
c) marginal 400MHz
d) 400MHz quantity is so small that only CPQ gets it.

They have lost all their credibility. Their reputation will be finished when AMD demo a "fan cooled" > 500MHz K7 system, none of this shit cryo-cooled and foils.

Re: "Don't tell me you doubted the 400 like Yousef and Elmer..."

Jim, you're not one who normally shoots from the hip. I don't think I ever said that because I don't know process and I wouldn't know what AMD can or can't do in that area. Try and keep your credibility up, will ya. If you can find a statement from me to that affect, I'll eat my words, if AMD announces a 400mhz K6 that is. If you can't... you should eat your's.
