IMHO, this stock is a gem just waiting to get polished. It just doesn't have the market cap yet, to appear on most fund radar screens.

I thought I had read some articles where BERU AB was listed or mentioned as a German bank. When I did some searching on the web I found that they are an auto parts manufactures-- high perf. spark plugs, wires etc. They are listed on the Frankfurt exchange.

I was looking at the chart for the day before T-day. Someone was buying blocks of 7-8K throughout the day. The price then dove to $13 late in the day. Perhaps BERU is buying. Who is selling at $13?

Jim

Today's action probably is further indication that BERU is back at it again, this time in the open market.

Beru has been out beating on most of the private (non-affiliated) investors in this thing (some have held since the early 80's), trying to get block purchases at current market and must be running out of takers.

I certainly wasn't happy with the quarter, but given GM's strike they apparently beat on suppliers to not bill them in the quarter. Some people say IMCO (to many of us it will always be airsensors) should have preannounced, but their policy has been to never give guidance pro or con on estimates, so they have been consistent.

We should not forget that Questor SBS LLC is still the major shareholder and put their bucks up to buy the Schneebeck estate position this past spring at $13.50, if my memory is still holding up. I doubt they would allow this thing to trade much lower for very long without adding, unless the whole market went sour.

Management hasn't made a habit out of embarassing analysts historically, so expect some catch up as we get later in the year. Don't forget AG Edwards estimates were in the 80 cent + range (I have not seen any revision as of yet) for fiscal 99 which is only four months away now (April). This stock is far from expensive.
