Are the acolytes of this religion as hypocritical as the followers of other faiths often are? ...dry fly catch and release... Are you so sure the fish survive the release? I had a black cat once, who imposed the "final solution" on all the wildlife on our property. I even thought of naming him "Himmler", but decided against it, for fear of offending Jewish friends.. I remember dashing out once to rescue a chipmunk from his jaws. But I was told my effort was quixotic, because once an animal is seized like that, he shoots himself up with his own internally-produced "morphine". This "morphine" keeps him from feeling the pain -- but at the same time, shocks his system to such a degree that he dies anyway, even if snatched from the jaws of death by do-gooders like me.
