More Adventures in Kurlakology:

And as for Barrett's little joke, Kurlak seemed to take it to heart. When told that many technology fund managers interviewed by TSC still say they are cautious about buying Intel, Kurlak responded, "We've been responsible for a lot of that caution because it has been two years since we recommended the stock."

Well, I guess he's right...

...oh, what's that...facts?...you want facts?...but this is Tom Kurlak...you think facts are going to matter...don't you understand...these men are above facts...oh, alright, fine...

A. Kurlak downgraded Intel to a intermediate-term neutral in August of 1997.

B. Kurlak downgraded Intel to a long-term neutral in August of 1998.

C. In November of 1998, Kurlak stated that "it has been two years since we recommended the stock."

Amazing.

He now appears to be working on some type of new "proprietary calendar" that allows him to just ignore his long-term ratings altogether and also count "one year and three months" as "two years" <g>

Good trading,

Tom
