Hello Jim. SI is slow! I think most of us knew that Iraq would give in. The whole thing is stupid. If the US is really serious about getting rid of Saddam they should do what they are very good at. Stage a coup by supporting the Kurds and the Shiites in the North and South. But they really don't want that because of the rest of Arabian countries and Turkey.. Somehow, I don't think the US would mind to play cat and mouse with Saddam from time to time and show the Arabs who their friends are. market is trying to do the same thing as the last FOMC meeting when it climbed from under 8k to ~8100.
