Pete,
I decided to take my lump on the evil tower today because this deal has the potential to again bring XMIT back to its heydays of trading on future promises. Afterall, their valuation is not single digit because a white knight wanted them badly enought at $20 and above. I don't know anything about AMT but I see this as the trend and won't be surprise if within 12 month the combined company gets swallowed by another party. Understand that all these acquisitions will be "goodwill" but as long as the economy trottles along and this industry is not imploding I guess the company can afford to trade on future promises.

I think today's trading on XMIT has got to do with short squeezing. The way the MM's did it is to pump up AMT which cause XMIT to play catchup since XMIT should theoretically trade above AMT. All these can fade if the market tanks tomorrow should AG not cut rate. Anyway, this is the risk of investing and when stranger things happen it's best to let someone else worry about it and I just want to preserve capital and go elsewhere. Getting tripped is one thing, but getting LT'ed is another. <GG>

Active - I didn't call anything on VRC. I shorted SDC today on the basis that all OSX will march down from here and SDC being the one which still held up well so it should have a longer road to fall.
