Tom/Gottfried.....'Sincere and honest self' is indeed best. It is also important for Glore to be aware of the many, many ways that the media can have him for lunch, regardless of his honesty and sincerity.
Today's CNBC piece was a 'gift'.....the reporter acted as a friendly coach throughout.....Glore seemed somewhat less than the master of the IOM product story.....he actually described the new ZIP as having 'one and a half times' the capacity of the original instead of 'two and a half'.

In my personal experience, hi-tech types are generally very straight forward and honest but very poor in telling their story to non-tech types (ever wonder why the 'Tech Stuff for Dummies' books sell so well) .....the whole idea of 'image' and its very real importance is lost on many of them. Seen more than one career stopped in its tracks because a brilliant techie thought knowing the numbers and the nuts and bolts was all he needed to know.

I have high hopes for Glore. He WILL learn some lessons about the media.....I hope it's not the hard way.

P.S. for Tom: may all political spin-meisters of all persuasions disappear in a swirl of brown scum!!!
