The VSE has accepted for filing documentation pertaining to an exploration
agreement dated Jan. 30, 1998, among STB Energy (STB), a subsidiary of
Stanford Oil & Gas, Armstrong Resources LLC (Armstrong), PYR Energy,
Berkley Petroleum, Paramount Resources, Westminster Resources, Bellevue
Resources, Richland Petroleum, Ceniarth, and Prima Energy Corp. The
exchange has also accepted for filing two assignment agreements dated May
29, 1998, between STB and Hilton Petroleum Inc. (Hilton), a wholly owned
subsidiary of Hilton Petroleum Ltd., and between STB and KOB Energy Inc.
(KOB). Pursuant to the terms of the agreements, STB, Hilton, and KOB will
each acquire a 4.92 per cent working interest in the East Lost Hills gas
prospect in Kern County, California. In consideration, STB, Hilton, and KOB
will each pay to Armstrong $213,146 (U.S.) for land acquisition costs, and
will each pay 6.56 per cent of the costs to drill the initial well on the
prospect, which has an estimated total cost of approximately $6-million
(U.S.).
