From TMF
<BOL to be the Exclusive Bookseller for AOL and CompuServe Services in Europe>
This is a very sad day for Amazon.com and it's ceo Jeff Bezos.
How things have changed. Going from one of Kleiner,Perkins original keiretsu to this.
Kleiner sits on the boards of both Aol and Amzn.
They were able to get Amzn to be the first exclusive bookseller on Aol and now the 'Thing' has been regulated to bookseller on Aol's internal TMF.
All because of the new love relationship between Bert and Aol.
Yes, I know that Bert made a huge investment last year in Aol and Bert made huge profits, but to kick poor Bezos out just because of Bert's deep pockets is just not fair.
Now, rumor has it, that the keiretsu wanted Bezos to partner with Bert first, and became mad at him because he didn't want to share his $7bil market cap co.
Now look at what poor Jeff is left with.
An Aol/Bert alliance that will eventually squeeze him dry. So dry in fact that he just had to sell 188,000 shares @ $126ps. Poor Jeff might now only get out of this Vise will only a couple of billion dollars.
Well, I guess that's not to bad for a young former Hedge fund manager. Is it?
Fool on.
