I was only at Comdex for 1 day, so I just had time to zip around the booths and see what was eye-catching. The coolest stuff was HDTV sets, especially the Philips one - very nice.

IBM, Compaq, Dell, and Intel all skipped the main floor for private hotel suites, so innovation in notebooks was not well represented. The products I saw from other vendors are all available in the market and can be read about on company web sites. You can also view the keynote addresses online at vstream.com.

Regarding other rumors on the thread, yes, Valence is working with Energizer. This is public knowledge but not widely disseminated. Energizer has been testing the Valence cells in their own labs and the quality is good so far. They will probably act as a packager/reseller partner, not a cell manufacturer.

About TDI/HET, their sales reps started working the field a couple of months ago to place the polymer product. I haven't found out how real it is yet, but TDI is one of the largest battery pack manufacturers in the industry and is very reputable.
