Scumbria and all: Interesting article in WSJ-Interactive about Microsoft's attempts at sharpening text through the OS, in an effort to increase the number of people reading books on-line: interactive.wsj.com Here's an excerpt: "Sharper type could help popularize the new reading devices as a mass-market alternative to the traditional paper book. Microsoft expects 50,000 book titles to be available for electronic books by 2001, read by millions of people. But the company said it is still refining ClearType, which will be introduced in the next few years." Hmmm...I wonder what URL you might type to read an on-line book? I bet there's an msn.com or microsoft.com in it. I'm about as bullish you can get on the use of computers, but as an avid reader I can tell you it'll be long after 2001 before I'll sit at my desk and try to relax with an e-book. Still, clearer text will be greatly appreciated in my everyday PC work. Adam

I can understand all the excitement over here!!!>> Please tell me where I can get 20% in seventeen months in an interest bearing checking account. I'll take that and never invest in stocks again.
