Yes George, and we are only 300 or so points from the all time high and still lingering with less then 50 new highs. Maybe it will shoot to 10,000 before the new high list catches up?

George, we have some divergences that smell very much like they did just prior to the big sell off in July.

I scan about 10000 securities nitely and see the number of issues over their 10 & 20 day simple ma's starting to decline again while the indices move up! Since these are short ma's they can change pretty quick but on 10/28/98 the % over their 20 dSMA was 58.6% with the S&P at 1068 vs 52.7% today with the S&P at 1136. The 10 dSMA is worse ...10/28/98 52.7% vs today 38.2%.

Very Interesting!!!! This same divergence occurred on the run up from mid June to July 17th.
