I don't think the general investment public really cares about Epic Oil and Gas Limited until they get some of the "spotlight" that other plays on the VSE already have. The new story is Argentina Gold.
Pretty good story I guess, but Epic is so low key about the prospects of this play except to the people who have already invested a lot of time and money into the play.

I like the longterm prospects, I am feeling very positive that this play WILL work, but on the market side, who knows. I think that forty cents could be the bottom, but then again, I though 0.90 cents last spring was the bottom and the bottom fell out.

Who cares. The stock could travel down into the 0.30 or even 0.20 mark. Let people sell the stock because of their various tax loopholes etc. The real news is that Alberta Energy, a HUGE company who just bought out Amber Energy for 700 billion, is their partner and things look good.

The market side is beyond anyone's control. Do I see the stock dropping??? Yes. Do I think that is bad news??? No. The fundamentals are the same.

I had heard that but it is nice to have someone perhaps who has followed this play that long?? on the thread. How long have you followed this play? My impression is that the best is yet to come. As for the golds, it was a strange day but my view remains bullish especially with the Euro getting closer.

There is an expression of "once bitten twice shy",with respect to epic perhaps more approprietely 10 times bitten .this company has basically accomplished nothing in 10 years other than waste money and gradually dilute its stock ,so one could hardely expect that anyone would react by buying the stock with such a vague release ,as my mother used to say "the proof of the pudding is in the eating" ie if and when epic actually drills a well and actually finds something which is an economic producer of oil and gas then maybe it might be worth a nibble but to expect the price of the stock to go up after so many false starts through the years would take an enormous leap of faith, there are a lot of very cheap producers out there without taking a chance with epic .there is another saying im sorry my latin isnt up to snuff but "those who dont study history are compelled to repeat it "these three sayings i think sum up epic much better than anything else and for that matter the whole vse stock market .just my honest opinion of course arh

Scarlet, judging by your last post, you seem to think that history alone will be able decide the future of Epic. If that is true, than we are all dead ducks.

The point is, doesn't matter what happens on the jv side, as long as the present management has the control of corporate decisions, a scary thought, than this is going nowhere real fast.

I think that the company needs a new direction, now!!! No more screwing around with small time VSE players who are only intersted screwing the shareholders.

So as Harwood said, there is much left undone. The terms will not be disclosed, I am assuming, until the "peripherals" are taken care of. That is not being unfair. I think the present management did a good job in sticking with the project, while making a ton of dough, and believing in the project. I also believe they are riding this story all the way to the bank. So from fiction to fact will be a long journey. Fact is, this company will remain in the basement until all the fundamental elements come into play. That includes the geology and the management.

Just my opinion.
