I like to go long issues that are maxed out with short sellers...however, dont use AMTD as an indication of unavailability, they are the WORST for getting short shares in any issue...EGRP is OK but Datek is the best...if a marginable issue is unavailable to be shorted though DATEK, go long <G>...as far as OXGN, iam not sure of its current situation....Good Luck!

Another question on shorting I trade using E*Trade, really only shorted a stock once. My question is will E*Trade quickly tell you that no shares are available to be shorted or does your order just sit out there ? If the latter, doesn't seem wise to enter a short order at market given the stock will move on you while you are waiting for the shares. Better to use a limit order ?

Any help here would be appreciated !
