As of 6:51 EST, REUTERS added two new paragraphs, describing the unpalatable topical therapies available before Panretin. Makes Panretin sound a whole lot better: Current treatments include burning off the lesions with radiation, frozen probes or liquid nitrogen. If they spread, chemotherapy is used. The topical therapies themselves can be disfiguring and require multiple trips to the doctor.
