Hi Pat, I've lived in Minnesota all my life and have voted reform party ever since I've been able to. Ventura's victory is like a dream come true for me.

By the way, I too loved Ventura's comment regarding a new stadium. He is a no nonsense type of guy, and I think he'll be very successful here in Minnesota.

Here's a few more thoughts I have about the subject:

Regarding MN's governor... Ventura is the direct result of partisan politics. He was in the
right place, at the right time, under the right circumstances. Most everyone here is excited
in anticipation of what changes he may bring about. Public political involvement is way up.
Ventura has received 3000 applicants for positions thusfar, and expects 5000 by the time
of his inauguration. Minnesota led the nation in voter turn-out last election. I've got nothing
but good things to say.

Bottom line IMO is this:
1. Jesse increases involvement and interest
2. The increase in political discussion results in greater political activism and awareness
3. Greater activism results in more contact with district representatives
4. Representatives are more informed of the people's opinion
5. Rep's are more inclined to vote in a manner consistent with the people's opinion
6. The public's opinion is more accurately displayed throughout the legislature
7. The public benefits by having greater exposure in our government.
8. (conclusion) With Ventura as Governor, the state of Minnesota is better off.
