Is Anyone Alive Out There Along The Pacific?

Alive in Marin County California, Ken. Excellent couple of posts there. Can you post the link for that PC Week Online HP item?

Although it's redundant at this point, I wrote to the DOJ the other day with information of possible interest to them, and got this generic response. If anyone else has anything for them, or merely encouragement and gratitude, the email address is

Thank you for your interest in the Microsoft case. As you undoubtedly
are aware, the Antitrust Division filed, on May 18, 1998, suit against the Microsoft Corporation alleging violations of Sections 1 and 2 of the Sherman Antitrust Act. The Division alleges that, through a variety of anticompetitive contracting practices, Microsoft seeks to monopolize theInternet browser market and maintain its monopoly over personal computer operating system software.

We welcome any information that may be relevant to the case. As has
been publicly reported, we have an ongoing investigation into a variety of other practices in which Microsoft has been engaged. We continue to welcome information regarding any Microsoft conduct or practices that may or may not be anticompetitive and any comments regarding the Division's investigation.

For further information or a copy of any public documents (including
press releases), please see our web page (www.usdoj.gov), call the
Antitrust Documents Group (202-514-2481), or send a written request to
325 7th St NW, Suite 215, Washington, D.C. 20530.

Thank you very much for your interest in federal antitrust enforcement, and particularly for your interest in the Microsoft case.

Sincerely,

Joel I. Klein
