I think RS say against the S&P500 got started because it was an easy thing to do before computers. But it never did make sense and never as proven reliable. Who thinks that those 500 stocks are the market? The QRS and IBD RS ranking compares a stock against all other stocks, that makes sense.

Knowing how a stock compares to SP500 is good cocktail party talk, but what would one do with it?

Like Richard said Bob, mostly worms...>g< but as a newbie I'm still in the experimental bent, all you road savvy traders are probably done with all that and on to just making money!

on one of the "brookesite" kyped stochrsi scans it takes over 20 minutes to kick out values for the life of 1 issue...bring on the beta!
