Allen, sure it is costly, but the technology is still in its infancy and you got the same problem with digital cameras - expensive memory chips. Wouldn't want to lug a zip drive around with you everytime you use a camera?<g> How about this matchbox size hard disk that has been developped by IBM - doesn't it hold at least 1 Gig? Now that gets us out of the dilemma, not a measly zip drive! I just don't think the zip/music combination will have a chance in the long run. Bernhard
