Application level interconnectivity is fundamentally misunderstood.

It isn't internet, isn't applications, isn't communications, isn't an IBM thing (altho MQSeries support certainly is IBM centric). No good categorization. It is a little of all of these things. It is just 'plumbing'. Plumbing that is integral to making large application implementations work where lots of transactions are moved around behind the scenes and end-to-end integrity assurance is a must. And their approach eliminates having to do your own 'interface' coding between apps. This is the major selling point. It is very difficult to find people who can do this well. Buy it instead. And then pay maintenance revenues on it FOREVER AND EVER! Yee haw!

So how do you assign a PE? Bit of a challenge, but let's hope it continues to be a high one, however it is arrived at!
