Attention Business Editors:

Asia Minerals Corp. announces high grade gold in new drill holes Copperstone Project,
Arizona, USA

VANCOUVER, Nov. 30 /CNW/ - Asia Minerals Corp.
Trading Symbol: ASE - AMP

Asia Minerals Corp. (ASE: AMP) is pleased to report new drilling results
for eight holes on the Copperstone gold property located in La Paz County,
Arizona. These 8 holes are part of a 14 hole surface drilling program to
confirm and extend the Northwest High Grade Zone. Assay data for the first
four holes of this program were issued in a News Release dated 9 November
1998.
The Northwest High Grade Zone (see attached map) comprises the C-zone
(drill Section lines 144-147) and the D-zone (drill Section lines 148- 160).
Section line spacing is 70 ft. The new results include assay data for six
holes in the D-zone (A98-4, -5, -12, -13, -14, and 15) and two holes in the
C-zone (A98-6 and -8). These two zones are estimated to contain 474,000 oz. of
gold in a drill indicated and inferred resource of 890,000 tons at a cut grade
of 0.53 oz/ton.

D-Zone Results:
Five of the six new holes intersected the D-zone (see Table below for
detailed results). Two holes (A98-5 and A98-13) on Section 154 intersected
high grade gold mineralization. An intercept in A98-5 grades 0.46 oz/ton (15.9
g/t) gold over 30.5 ft. Hole A98-13, collared 140 ft. down dip of A98-5,
intersected 0.75 oz/ton (25.9 g/t) gold over 10.6 ft.
Hole A98-15 on Section 155 intersected 0.17 oz/ton (5.9 g/t) gold over
10.3 ft. This intercept is 100 ft. down dip of A98-2 (0.45 oz/ton over 20.2
ft. - see News Release dated 9 November 1998) and 220 ft. down-dip of C96-19
(2.18 oz/ton over 25 ft.) Hole A98-4, drilled 100 ft. up dip of C96-19
intersected minor gold mineralization within the D-zone (0.09 oz/ton (2.95
g/t) gold over 7.7 ft.)
Hole A98-14 on Section 157 intersected a narrow zone of mineralization
grading 0.3 oz/ton (9.55 g/t) over 3.4 ft. This intercept is 110 ft. down dip
of the previously reported high grade mineralization in A98-3 grading 4.91
oz/ton (168.2 g/t) over 13.3 ft. Drill hole A98-12 on Section 159 intersected
a fault zone.
A total of 33 holes have now been drilled in the D-zone. These holes
outline a north plunging, strata-bound zone of high grade gold mineralization
with a strike extent of about 1,000 ft. The 1998 D-zone drilling by Asia
Minerals on Sections 154-159 delineates a continuous zone of gold
mineralization with a width of about 250-350 ft. and a true thickness of 10-40
ft. Drill results also suggests that the northern plunge extension of the
D-zone maybe interrupted by a fault on Section 159-160. No drilling has been
done to locate the extension of the D-zone to the north of this fault. Lateral
offsets of up to 300 ft. have been mapped in similar faults in the Copperstone
open-pit to the south. The geological evidence suggests a strong potential to
increase the size of the D-zone in both the north and south strike directions,
and also down dip to the east.

C-Zone Results:
The two new C-zone holes (A98-6 and A98-8) were drilled to evaluate an
intercept of 21.5 oz/ton (737.7 g/t) gold over 10 ft. in the 1995 hole C95-11
on Section 147. Hole A98-6, drilled 70 ft. south of C95-11 on Section 146,
intersected 0.71 oz/ton (24.4 g/t) gold over 2 feet. Hole A98-8, drilled 100
ft. up-dip of C95-11 on Section 147, did not intersect significant gold
mineralization. The host rocks and style of mineralization in C-zone differ
from D-zone. Closer spaced drilling is required to test the open dip and
strike extent of this zone.

All samples for analysis are prepared from half saw-cuts of HQ diameter
core. Down hole lengths are approximately equal to true thickness. The primary
assay laboratory is Bondar Clegg. Sample preparation is conducted in Sparks,
Nevada and sample analysis in Vancouver, B.C. A fire assay protocol with an AA
finish is used on all samples. The drilling, sampling and assaying have been
conducted according to a Quality Assurance/Quality Control program established ointly by Asia Minerals and MRDI Canada - a division of H.A. Simons Ltd.

Dated at Vancouver, British Columbia the 30th day of November 1998.
