Annual Report:

I read it, didn't see but a couple of things new. I am not very good at deciphering these reports, so do your own research.

I like them getting rights to sell the Harbor software. I read alot about it in the magazines. Should be a boost for Sand and their clients.

Sand is spending lot's of money. They need increased revenues and profits to offset this. I am not opposed to the increased R&D spending. To me a company must do this to survive and prosper.

It appears that Sand and it's products are Year 2000 compliant. That is a plus and was addressed in the last conference call. This is a plus IMO.

For disclosure purposes, the above and all my posts are just my opinion. Do your own research before buying or selling this stock.
I may be subject to buy or sell at anytime. In no way do I post anything here or anywhere else to hype this stock or any other. I enjoy what little trading I do and the conversation and posts here on SI, and sharing info on the stocks I follow on the internet in general.

Good luck all, It's been a good 2 days for us who own Sand.

International Market Research FirmDiscovers Nucleus Provides
Significant Competitive Advantage OverTraditional Databases and OLAP
Tools in Consumer Analysis
November 17, 1998 08:47 AM
MONTREAL--(BUSINESS WIRE)--Nov. 17, 1998--SNDCF

Nucleus Reduces Firm's Time to Analyze Consumer Behavioral Patterns by 85
percent

A leading international Database Marketing Consultancy firm has standardized
on Sand Technology Systems International's SNDCF Nucleus Exploration Mart
and Nucleus Prototype Mart to help their customers analyze Consumer
Behavioral Patterns (CBP) associated with predicting and managing consumer
buying patterns, consumer demographics and consumer market influences. With
Nucleus, the consulting firm has started to provide market perspectives to its
many clients. Nucleus will help to give them a significant competitive advantage
in the sheer speed at which they can design, implement, and measure customer
initiatives and loyalty rewards. "Our customers include some of the largest
companies in automotive, retail, food distribution, and utilities", said one of the
firm's principals. "We help them plan and execute innovative approaches for
keeping and delighting their customers. The Nucleus Exploration system we
acquired from Hitachi Data Systems provides us with unprecedented ability to
explore and understand their markets." Prior to Nucleus, the marketing
consulting firm depended on a number of sophisticated technologies to
accomplish their analyses. But despite heavy investments in specialized
hardware, database and OLAP software products, these products proved
inflexible and in many cases would not scale to facilitate detailed analysis. "We'd
often need 20-25 days to analyze a major retailer's monthly detailed
transactions", said the Chairman. "With Nucleus we have cut this to 4 days! It's
an enormous boost in our productivity that will translate straight to our bottom
line. Moreover, we no longer need the plethora of hardware and software tools.
Nucleus saves us costs and complexity, and gives us more flexibility for
analysis. With Nucleus we have the power to explore more data and find the
patterns and nuances that challenge current thinking." "The enhanced
capabilities that Nucleus gave this consulting firm affirms our belief that Nucleus
delivers a unique, cost effective solution allowing organizations to understand
their data, which in this case represents customers, emerging markets,
competitors and market factors in ways that have never been imagined," said
Kevin M. Horigan, executive vice president at Sand Technology. "You cannot put
a quantitative number on the competitive advantages gained by giving a company
the ability to predict future market dynamics and consumer behavioral patterns
(CBP). The competitive advantages and the quantitative numbers speak for
themselves. About Sand Technology Sand Technology Systems International
Inc. provides high performance, scaleable software solutions for data mining, data
marts, data warehouses and online analytical processing (OLAP). Sand's
Nucleus product suite brings patented technology to the business user allowing
