I would doubt that Intel could spare the engineering time/talent for such a small operation as Be and BeOS.

However, I would assume that Intel's applications group provided Be with extensive technical assistance including MASM and C/C++ libraries for Katmai optimized graphics primitives.

After all, Intel has had this software SUPPORT AVAILABLE since early summer (1998).
